Weight Loss Tips #2
For all of you wanting to lose weight, or are on a weight loss journey, read the following tips and implement them into your daily activities!!!
- When weighing yourself, try to wear the same thing to each weigh in. (For an example I wear a sports bra and a pair of boy shorts; no socks, shoes, or jewelry). Also, weight yourself in the morning time before you have eaten anything.
- Make yourself a workout playlist but make sure the songs on your playlist are songs that you can get into. Before you know it the playlist will be over and the workout will be done. Keep in mind, though, you should always pay more attention to the workout than the music.
- Do not weigh yourself every day. I chose to weight myself once every 2 weeks or once a week if I feel I haven’t done very well. Weighing yourself every day may cause you to lose focus if you don’t see a change on the scale.
- Drink plenty of water. I cannot stress this tip enough. Drinking more water helps speed up your metabolism. The faster your metabolism the more energy you’ll have to work off that fat. If you don’t like plain water pick up some flavored water. but try to stay away from juices and sodas as much as you can.
- Buy a food scale. I thought this was the craziest thing ever but you’d be surprised at how much food you’re actually eating compared to what you think you’re eating. Amazon.com has great food scales. I ordered a “Biggest Loser” one for only $18.
- Get outside as much as you can. Although we have hit winter months, working out outside is much more rewarding than being stuck in a gym where you are stationary and probably see the same people day in and out. Pick out 3 walking areas outside and switch between them whenever you get a chance to exercise.
- Remember any loss is a good loss whether it be 5 pounds or 0.5 pounds. Stay positive throughout this journey. The weight will not come off overnight
Let today be that tomorrow
